Deputy Mayor-Mpondwe Town Council
The Deputy Mayor of Mpondwe Town Council, Mrs.Biira Janat welcomed all participants to the workshop. She expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Trade team and urged the Participants that there would be a lot to learn from STR and CTB. She emphasized that the Ministry remains committed to implementing Trade at the Border areas, and that that MTIC was pleased that the STR programme is being implemented and had already launched at Mpondwe and Kasinde in DRC Congo.
Communications Officer-MTIC
The workshop was opened by the MTIC Communications Officer moderator, Ms. Nakakande Khadija who welcomed the participants and thanked them for attending. She advised them that there was a lot to learn from the workshop especially on STR and cross Border Issues. In attendance were members of the CBTA, District Officials, Political Leaders, Immigration Representatives and Customs Representatives.
