The workshop was opened by the moderator, Mr. Kasirye Julius who welcomed the participants and thanked them for attending, especially the launch of the Simplified trade Regime. In attendance were; Various stakeholders who included, the DRC Team, Resident District Commissioner of Kisoro District , Chief Administrative Offices from Kisoro and Kanungu ,CBTA Members, District Commercial officers, Local council leaders Immigration Officers, Customs Officers, Security Agencies, MDAs from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, UBOS, PSFU and staff from MTIC. He reminded the participants to invite the local community to attend the launch on 18th May which would be officiated by the Minister of Trade, Amelia Kyambadde.
