He thanked the Minister for personally
attending the launch and welcomed the officials. He appreciated the warm
company that was accorded to the while in Kasindi in DRC and was happy to
reciprocate it.
Revenue growth in the area has
increased by 113% and this is due to the high level of integrity and excellence. This
has also been attributed to government for the good road infrastructure that
has boosted Trade.
Security was not good last year, but
has greatly improved with the intervention and collaboration of various
security agencies.
Appealed to the DRC government to
improve on the road infrastructure especially the Bunagana-Goma stretch to
improve Trade.
Electricity is a challenge in Kisoro
town, since it is tapped from the Rwanda Ntaruka station and affects
small scale industries. The electricity from Jinja comes and stops 4km
from Kisoro-Kaku dam which is 6km from Bunagana. Appealed to
Government to address this issue.
